“It’s a pleasure to play and learn from the World Champions" - Tunisian Coach

Press conference Brazil v Tunisia

 Katowice, Poland, September 3, 2014 -

Brazil Coach, Bernardo Rezende:

First of all I would like to congratulate Mr Mkaouar for the job he is doing with his team, a lot of young players emerged, they started very well, leading 4-0. They are growing and becoming more and more competitive. They have more experience now than before. We played more matches at this World level. It’s good to watch emerging teams like Tunisia who want to develop. We made some substitutions to see players who didn’t play before, like Fonteles, Renan, Eder, to get the rhythm for the next matches. We have a day to study and work before the next match against Finland.

Brazil Player, Lucarelli:

We had a very bad start today, we were strong in the serve and block and it was the key for our victory. It is good to hear that Tunisian captain was happy to play with us.

Brazil Player, Felipe Fonteles:

We did everything that we studied; we could do well in this match to improve in the coming matches of this tournament.

Tunisia Coach, Fethi Mkaouar:

Congratulations to the Brazilian team. It’s a pleasure to play against the World Champions and learn from them. We wanted to play more than 3 sets, but coach Rezende and his team didn’t allow us to do, they were very strong. Brazil played their best volleyball. I hope to present in next matches better performance.

Tunisia Captain, Samir Sellami:

It was a good opportunity to play against very strong team Like Brazil, we wanted to play against them to enjoy this game and learn, so that we can improve in our next matches.
