 In 2010 setter Lukas Kampa made one step back only to go two steps
further. The 27 year-old moved from VfB Friedrichshafen, where he was setter
number two, to the mid-placed club RWE Volleys Bottrop. There he was the “boss”
and led his club confidently into the play-offs. After financial problems Kampa
left Bottrop and switched to the ambitious Italian club Piacenza. In the
national team he played a very good tournament in the
Pre-Olympic-Qualification. In 2012/13 he builts a dynamic duo with Georg Grozer
in Belgorod/RUS and became Russian Cup winner. After that he won the Ukraine
championship with his new club Kharkiv and returned to Italy (Casa
Modena).
