Cameroon will return to the 2018 FIVB World Championship for their third consecutive appearance. The country made its debut in 1990 finishing 15th, but their best placing to date was 13th in 2010.
Cameroon also took part in the 1989 FIVB World Cup, ranking eighth.
At continental level, Cameroon have twice won the African Championship, in 1989 and 2001, and have also struck gold three times at the All-Africa Games, in 1987, 1999 and 2011.
More recently, Cameroon picked up bronze at the 2017 African Championship, after beating Algeria in four sets in the third-place playoff in Cairo. Can they repeat this feat on the world stage in Turin?
