Gido Vermeulen

Gido Vermeulen

Gido Vermeulen transitioned to The Netherlands' men's National Team in 2014 after coaching Spain's women from 2008 to 2012 and the Dutch women from 2012 to 2014. He also served as the Dutch junior men's team coach for five years, winning a silver medal with them at the 2004 Junior European Championships. His first major international coaching experience came when he was an assistant coach for his home country's women's team from 1994 to 1998. They won the 1995 European Championship and finished fifth at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games. At club level, the 54-year-old has coached teams in his birth city of Amsterdam, as well as in Italy and Spain.
