Slovenia face Japan in quest to stay undefeated

Florence, Italy, September 14, 2018 - Slovenia look to remain unbeaten in the 2018 FIVB World Championship and go 2-0, when they face Japan, Friday. Slovenia opened in the competition with a 3-1 win over the Dominican Republic, while Japan are 1-1 after winning on Thursday 3-0 against the same opponents. With Slovenia making their debut in the World Championships, the two sides have met only once in the past, when Japan won in five sets in pool play before the European side beat the Asians 3-0 in the final of Group 2.
