Micah Christenson:Audience will play with Poland

Krakow, Poland, September 8, 2014 - The last game in Pool D finished with a USA victory over Italy 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17) in front of more than 14,000 spectators at Krakow Arena for the match.

Last game in Pool D seemed to be not that easy for you. Any
thoughts about your team’s performance?
Christenson: "We
played much better than we played in the previous games. We were able to pass
well, good reception allowed using all setting options. We also attacked very
well. The team has made full collective effort today that let us actually

You’re getting to phase two with five points on your account and
quite strong opponents in the schedule. Do you consider any of those opponents
more dangerous than others?

"All four teams we meet in
phase two are world class but I believe that Poland specifically will have

You played in Krakow Arena with mixed luck so far, most of the
games you played were quite demanding. Aren’t you concerned that your future opponents
might be less tired in phase two?

"Personally, I think I’m
pretty young so I don’t need that much time for recovery (laughing). We’ve been
very well prepared and that’s our job so I believe that the whole team will be
able to perform very well without impact of longer games behind us."
