Brazilian Bruno Rezende celebrate during match against Cuba

Congratulations to Cuban team, they played like 1st level team, they have a lot of potential. They’re in the 2nd round it’s a great achievement for such a young team. They started very aggressively, putting pressure on us, we lost focus, and we made mistakes. Happily, we recovered Bruno, Lipe and Visotto played well – we showed that we have more than 6 or 7 players. In such a long tournament we need 10-12 good players. We need to focus on the next round.
Brazil Captain, Bruno Rezende:
The Cuban team was aggressive in serve. Our reception was bad and we had no concentration at the beginning – that’s why we lost 1st set. Later on, we didn’t make so many mistakes, we were patient and they didn’t serve well. Cuba have very young team, they will be strong in the future. They present very traditional school of volley and we should be happy for this young team.

I’d like to congratulate Brazil. First set was really good for us, later it was worse, we made a lot of mistakes, we had problems against such a strong team as Brazil. In the future we will be better, we are young.
