Wroclaw, Poland, September 14, 2014 – Playing relaxed and under no any kind of pressure, China were able to deliver a good performance and coach Guochen Xie praised the high level of organization and the great support to the event from the fans in Poland.

China coach Guochen Xie: “Today’s match was the last one for us and for Cuba on this championship. That is why my team played today with no pressure and they were really relaxed. We are glad that we won. I would like to notice that the organisation of this championship was at the highest level. We want to thank the fans for the support and congratulate Poland for this event.”

China captain Weijun Zhong: “We are very happy with this victory and we will surely celebrate it.  Cuba is a very good team and they play really well. They showed great moves in the attack. However our team were playing on the highest level today. We made some mistakes but we overcame our problems and in the fifth set we managed to gain a victory.”

Cuba coach Rodolfo Sanchez: “Congratulations to China. We did not use our chances in the counterattack and we were lost in the fourth set. That was the reason of our loss. China deserved to win today.”

Cuba captain Rolando Cepeda Abreu: “I would like to congratulate China for this victory. Unfortunately we did not manage to finish this championship with a three points, even though we have tried really hard.
